Can you correct Faulty Comparison using possessive. Her performance was better than her coach's. or do you need "that of her coach's"?You can use the possessive, or you can use “that of,” but not both.
So you could say:
- Her performance was better than her coach’s.
- Her performance was better than that of her coach.
But NOT, as you posted, “that of her coach’s.” That’s two possessives!
