Do you need to know permutations and combinations for the harder questions on the SAT?No. Certainly, if you do know them, you might find an occasion to use them once in a while, but you will never need them. That’s because on the SAT, all counting and probability questions use small enough numbers that they can be solved with simple listing or drawing.
