This week hope your available :) A bakery sells 4 different types of bread. How many combinations of 3 different types of bread can a customer buy from this bakery? So I said bread 1 2 and 3 and then listed the combinations: 123, 132, 213, 231, 312, 321*you’re
What you did was list all the different orders in which 3 things could be placed. Those are permutations, not combinations. Rather, for this question, you need to list all the combinations of 3 kinds of bread out of 4. So you need to list:
123
124
134
234
We don’t need to worry about the order, because if I buy pumpernickel, rye, and white bread, that’s the same as buying white, pumpernickel, and rye. Y’know?
